CABA WORKS TO DEVELOP THE NEXT GENERATION OF LEGAL LEADERS
The fellows in the Cuban American Bar Association’s fourth L.E.A.D. with CABA leadership development program recently completed the program. The class focused on leadership development, professional growth, civic engagement, and service.
The Cuban American Bar Association has graduated its fourth class of L.E.A.D. with CABA, a leadership development program that prepares lawyers and other legal professionals for leadership roles within CABA, The Florida Bar, and their communities.
The 12 fellows in Class IV completed a curriculum focused on leadership skills, professional development, civic engagement, and service. The program brings together experienced legal professionals and leadership-development experts, along with judges, elected officials, law firm leaders, and past CABA presidents.
“We are pleased to congratulate this cohort of L.E.A.D. fellows on completing the program,” said CABA President Jordi C. Martínez-Cid. “Our goal was to empower them to develop leadership competencies, to strengthen community connections, and to help improve the legal profession as a whole.”
The L.E.A.D. with CABA committee is co-chaired by immediate past President Amanda L. Fernandez, managing partner at Rivero Mestre LLP, and board member Gustavo Ceballos.
The Class IV fellows are:

Sessions included: Exploring the Opportunities of Servant Leadership, emphasizing the importance of professional involvement, community engagement, and service beyond the practice of law; Leading with Purpose, focused on intentional leadership and professional development; Leadership in Action – Service, Involvement & Impact; and Building Your Legacy: Growth, Grit, & the Making of a Career.

The application for 2027 L.E.A.D. with CABA fellows will open in January to CABA members in good standing.
